Montreal’s legendary Plateau is getting more and more expensive with trendy restaurants, clubs, and bars. But burger joint Patati Patata is holding on to Montreal classics at a very affordable price.
You could miss it by it’s size, but the colourful exterior of this small staple will be sure to catch your eye.
Nestled in the midst of famous St. Laurent Street, Patati Patata stays serving up Montreal comfort food like poutine, burgers and crepes with a very cheap menu.
You can get an incredibly satisfying hamburger for a mere $2.50! And for our fellow vegetarians, a tofu burger is just $2.25. At this price point, once you’ve had one, it will be hard not to have another.
Patati Patata dominates Montreal’s poutine game. With poutines being sold at most restaurants in Montreal, Patati Patata rests assured on their classic poutine style. For $4.00 you’ll get a big bowl full of flavour.
Bonus points for vegetarian gravy!
If you tire of the regular burger joint classics, they have an extra menu with a full breakfast, or crepes which are all under $10.00.
The restaurant keeps late night cravings in check with their 2 a.m. closing time. With all this goodness, it can be hard to get a seat during peak hours.
There are about thirteen seats in total so expect a small wait if you’d like to dine in. Don’t expect anything fancy when dining in. They spend more time making the perfect burgers than ensuring a fine dining experience.
The service is always exceptional. Even when they’re crazy busy! Their open line is perfect for making you drool.
Patati Patata has become a term of excitement during our time in Montreal and for good reason.
Simple. Classic. Cheap. And delicious.
